Teacher Planbook

The Teacher Planbook is the final resource that is available as a part of the Knowledge-Suite. It is designed to allow teachers and librarians to easily schedule their classes and quickly fill in their playbooks by importing information from the other three resources – C.E.R.F™, the Lesson Plan & Authoring Database and WebQuest Homework.

Continuing the important concept of Integrating Resources with Authority, the Teacher Planbook continues to require that plans connect to appropriate Standards. But, as with the other resources, this task is drastically simplified through resource integration tools that are available throughout.

There are two distinct uses for the Planbook and this depends on whether you are a teacher or a librarian, whether you have your own classes, or whether you will host other people's classes.

Teachers

As a teacher, you are responsible for different classes. Your Planbook will be structured to allow you to easily view your own schedule, create your own plans, and keep track of your students.

As a K-5 teacher, you may have only one or two classes of students. You can use the Planbook to schedule the various subjects that you are responsible for teaching. (Even if it is the same physical class)

Librarians

As a librarian, you receive classes from teachers. Your Planbook will be structured to allow you to create a schedule of visiting classes, to see teachers' planbooks and keep track of their students.

By seeing their plans for upcoming library visits, you can dialogue with the teachers, coordinate your efforts and work on ways to accomplish your goals as well as theirs.
